If I was a prospective buyer I would think twice about paying Finke $1.4 million for her site [let alone $14 million]. If Finke ever leaves her house (I’ve heard she rarely does this) and gets hit by a car like Shelley Winters in Lolita, DHD would be worth absolutely nothing—zilch.
Because I didn’t happen to have a beverage nearby, a little piece of my brain just flew out my nose. Wells has an axe to grind but the image of Nikki Finke as Charlotte Haze is deadly funny.
As for Jay Penske, who’s heading up the acquisition … I went to school with Jay and, without elaborating, he’s not the kind of guy Nikki would enjoy personally.
